So you want to submit a story idea to Postmortem Mag? Excellent! We are currently on the lookout for submissions for our third issue, including interviews, personal essays, art, photography, and more. As long as it relates to the theme of the artistic and creative "postmortem," a reflection into the creative process, your experiences as an artist, or a story about a piece you've worked on, we will consider it (check out our first issue or our mission statement for ideas). We mainly accept pitches, but if you have something already written that would fit along with the theme, you can send over a pitch along with an excerpt. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If you have an idea but aren't sure if it fits, send it along anyway!
Best part? We can pay now! Now that our Patreon is partially funded for quarterly issues, we can pay contributors a flat $50 rate.
We are currently accepting pitches for our fourth issue, which will be a year-end reflection. If you have pitches specifically related to anything you accomplished within the past year or what you hope to do in the upcoming year, send them along. Deadlines for pitches is November 25.
To submit your pitches, or if you have any other questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
